- Supporting Operational Leadership: Collaborate closely with the operations leadership team to provide effective solutions and timely reporting of business metrics. Your insights will enhance overall clarity and transparency of productivity and profitability
- Financial Analysis: Analyze the financials of our operating company for trends. Design and present a streamlined management reporting package that highlights trends, opportunities, and issues to the management team and the Operating Company's Board
- Contract Review: Assist in the evaluation of all company bids, with a focus on reviewing and approving all financial components of potential contracts
- Capital Management: Manage relationships with banks and other capital providers to ensure optimal financial arrangements for the company's growth and stability.
- Strategic Financial Input: Provide valuable financial input on critical strategic decision-making issues affecting the organization. Develop financial strategies to help guide the company towards its goals
- Tax and Corporate Structure: Evaluate tax and corporate structure trends to determine their operational, financial, or other business impacts. Implement industry best practices to enhance financial efficiency
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor both direct and indirect reports on the finance, human resources, and IT teams
- Financial Oversight: Oversee various financial processes, including budgeting, enterprise-level financial reporting, treasury management, audit, tax, risk management, and periodic forecasting
- Costing and Profitability: Manage the maintenance of the standard costing system, including bills of materials, variance reporting, and inventory control. Support activities related to quoting new business initiatives, including costing and profitability models
- Month-End Activities: Oversee the completion of month-end close activities and ensure the accurate and timely submission of all corporate and internal reporting requirements
- Performance Analysis: Provide reports on actual performance versus budget and offer in-depth analysis to support decision-making for plant operations management
- Capital Expenditure: Support capital expenditure projects by conducting the necessary financial analysis required for project approval
- Fixed Asset Management: Take responsibility for managing the maintenance of the fixed asset sub-ledger, including reconciliation to the General Ledger, timely updates for additions and disposals, and asset tagging on the shop floor
- Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis on budget-to-actual, prior year, and prior month data. Include insightful commentary in the reporting system

The Successful Applicant
- 7-10+ years of experience, preferably in the foodservice or distribution industry
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree/MBA is considered an asset)
- CPA designation is preferred
- A proven track record in a Senior Financial Leadership role
- Strong Financial Analysis, Operational Finance, and Reporting skills
- Technologically curious with proven experience leveraging financial/accounting software and ERP systems
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
- M&A experience will be advantageous
- Strategic thinker with a track record of influencing business decisions
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative style, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
