Job description

Our client, a global provider of in-venue customer engagement technology targeted at the financial sector is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer - Java, JEE, DB, Hybrid to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, and maintenance of complex enterprise software. The ideal Senior Back-End Developer - Java, JEE, DB, Hybrid candidate will have experience building complex applications using Java, JEE, and Spring in a best-practices-oriented environment (SOLID, unit testing, CI/CD, etc.)

This is a full-time permanent position with a hybrid working model, based in Burlington. Two managerial references required; criminal backcheck and education and employment verification may be required.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, and maintenance of complex enterprise software. The ideal Senior Back-End Developer - Java, JEE, DB, Hybrid candidate will have experience building complex applications using Java, JEE, and Spring in a best-practices-oriented environment (SOLID, unit testing, CI/CD, etc.)

Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:

Java - 5-8Y+
Spring - 5-8Y+
Hibernate - 5-8Y+
Database Administration experience - 2-3Y+
JEE (EJB, JMS and MDB) - 1-3Y+
Unit Testing - 2-3Y+

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

MySQL - 3-5Y+
Building Enterprise SaaS - 2-3Y+
Containers (e.g. JBoss/Wildfly, Tomcat etc) - 1-2Y+
SOLID - 3-5Y+
Design Patterns (which ones?) - 3-5Y+
CI/CD - 2-3Y+
Microservices - 1-3Y+
Elasticsearch/Lucene - 1-3Y+
SVN/Git - 1-3Y+
