Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Project Manager. As a Project Manager, where your expertise is in public safety, expertise in communication projects, and demonstrated I&IT project management skills, you'll play a pivotal role. Your professional interpersonal skills and proficiency in data analysis make you a collaborative force. Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.
Must-Haves:
5+ years of operational experience in a public safety environment.
Experience with communication projects in a public service organization.
Demonstrated experience in I&IT project management.
Professional interpersonal skills for collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
Experience in reviewing and ensuring completeness and accuracy of submitted documentation.
Proficient in data gathering, analysis, and report building for decision-making.
Criteria:
Project Management and Coordination Skills
Demonstrated experience in I&IT project management.
Building and maintaining detailed schedules in MS Project, tracking activities to completion.
Experience in meeting facilitation, minute creation, and action item tracking.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both business and technology teams.
High proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Communication and Relationship Management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Creation and maintenance of project management artifacts (risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status reports, presentations, project communications, meeting minutes).
Professional interpersonal skills for collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and consultative skills.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Experience in data gathering, analysis, and report building for project scope, schedule, and cost decisions.
Review and verification of completeness and accuracy of submitted documentation.
Effective team player, capable of coordinating multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict deadlines.
