Your Contribution
As a Controls and Automations Professional, you will work in collaboration with the Automations Team in MPE.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
- Programming and testing of PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems
- On-site commissioning and startup
- Supporting local clients by troubleshooting control systems via remote access or on-site
- Work and coordinate with contractors
- Assist in control system design
- Assess existing control systems
- Develop control system upgrade strategies
- Implement / specify secure network and remote access schemes
- Educating clients
- The individual must be self-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
Your Profile
- Diploma or Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Licensed or eligible for licensing or certification with APEGA/ASET
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Background in electrical & instrumentation systems
- Experience with municipal water & wastewater systems
- Experience with a variety of automation software and hardware systems, including;
- Allen Bradley, Horner, Schneider, Automation Direct PLCs
- VTScada, iFIX, FactoryTalk SCADA software
- Maple, Panelview, Automation Direct HMIs
- Cellular and spread spectrum radio communication infrastructure
- Experience in working as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team
- Willingness to travel in order to support maintenance and commissioning tasks
Qualifications:
