DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, Finance will report to the Director of Finance and will play a critical role in underwriting, analyzing and monitoring Real Estate Development Projects. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities, including assisting in team leadership and financial analysis. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in managing a finance team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring professional growth and development of team members.
- Develop or oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial models to help make informed strategic decisions on potential and ongoing development projects.
- Develop or oversee the creation and maintenance of multi-year cash forecasts and return metrics for ongoing development projects.
- Provide strategic recommendations to Senior Management based on financial analysis.
- Coordinate and prepare key materials for capital raises, including financing requests and investment memorandums.
- Conduct complex financial analyses, such as scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.
- Coordinate and create key reporting materials for both internal and external stakeholders, including monthly and quarterly reporting packages for Senior Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enthusiasm and genuine passion for Real Estate and Real Estate Finance;
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience and proficiency in preparing and managing complex real estate financial models and budgets;
- A professional designation (CPA, CFA), or actively working towards one, is an asset;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment;
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills;
- A proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment;
