Information Technology Support Specialist

The Bonura Hospitality Group has an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist. With multiple locations in Orange and Dutchess Counties, you will have the capability to work in a dynamic environment of an exciting company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

supervise Overall Systems and Software Operations

»Plan, organize, control and evaluate technology, software, and data operations

»Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures

»Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems

»Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy

»Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time

»Audit systems and assess their results

»Preserve assets, information security and control structures

Software Operations, Recommendations and Implementation

»Support the company’s proprietary catering software package through Visual Basic programming and Microsoft SQL Server Database management

»Manage the company’s Microsoft platform and network infrastructure, including Exchange Server, Outlook, Office, and more.

»Manage the company’s back-office accounting and inventory management platform, Compeat.

»Support the company’s multiple POS solutions.

»Explore opportunities to synchronize operational software with the company’s Microsoft platform

»Assist in the development and maintenance of company website, SEO and social media platforms

»Create training materials and execute training as needed

Manage Hardware, Network, and Cloud Operations

»Install and configure computers, including arranging for distribution to multiple locations

»Repair and/or replace broken or malfunctioning equipment

»Maintain electrical hardware and peripheral devices (for example, restore hard drives, keyboards, displays, power supplies)

»Setup, configure, and provide support for peripheral devices (for example, routers, drives, network filters, video cameras)

»Cloud management and support

»Manage VOIP phone system and provide user support

IT Technical Support

»Provide technical support over the phone and on site as required.

»Communicate technical problems, instructions and resolutions to non-technical users and staff in a manner which they will understand.

»Gather data pertaining to user needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.

»Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.

»Coordinate with outside vendors.

New Employee Onboarding

»Coordinate the purchase and set-up of software licenses, hardware, and network access for new employees.

Qualifications

»Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, information technology or related field of study.

» 3-5 years in a combination of IT support and leadership abilities for a small to medium sized company.

» practice leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.

»Working expertise of Coding in Visual Basic.

» broad hands-on practice deploying and administering the following technologies; Microsoft Windows Server OS, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare.

» expertise of hardware and cloud networking, including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

» expertise of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

»Office is located in New Windsor, but must be able to travel to various properties in Orange and Dutchess County.
