Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the permanent, full-time position of Director of Employee Well-Being , Human Resources department. Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Director Employee Well-Being is responsible for the overall strategic leadership and delivery of frameworks, plans and programs that proactively promote, enhance, and maintain HRM employee physical and mental well-being.

The Director will lead, mentor and coach a team of managers and professional staff in the design, communication, and administration of HRM’s corporate policies and programs to support employees who are dealing with physical and mental health issues in returning to and/or staying at work and to support managers and employees to meet HRM’s Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

As a member of the Human Resources Management Team, the Director will form part of the team responsible for developing the overall HR strategy for the Municipality.

Work Status: Permanent, full-time.

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, 35 hours per week. Position may be eligible to participate in flexible work arrangements.

Salary: NU10, Non-union range $110,090 - $151,380. Our benefits package includes health, dental, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan for eligible candidates.

Work Location: Purdy's Wharf Tower II, Lower Water Street, Halifax.
