We are currently working on staffing for an Human Resources Generalist for a large manufacturing company in the Cornwall area.

Responsibilities
POSITION DETAILS

-Responsible for the training program for all production employees including orientation.
- Responsible for the job movement, attendance and audit the payroll.
- Assist the Health and Safety Manager in projects.

Assembling reports of company earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability payments, and non-taxable wages.

· Preparing year-end employee tax slips or forms and submitting government filings to meet deadlines.

· Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards.

· Coordinating the job movement and training according to the collective agreement.

· Recruitment of hourly employees.

· Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are delivered.

· Monitoring and analyzing expenses against the payroll budget to help prepare cost forecasts and budgets.

· Ensuring databases are set up and reflect the current employee base, including salaries, hourly wages, benefits, and pension percentages.

· Prepare, analyze, and publish daily dashboard and weekly consolidated production reports.

· Prepare payroll entries, payroll accruals, monthly consolidated headcount reports and prepare any payroll-related reporting.

· Prepare monthly journal entries, monthly account analysis of specific accounts and payroll accruals.

· Other duties and responsibilities related to payroll and human resources.

Qualifications

-College diploma is required with related experience bachelor’s degree preferred - Manufacturing
environment preferred.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
- Strong ability to integrate and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
 -Demonstrated teamwork, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficient in the use of Office 365 suite.
 -Bilingual English/French is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

· Excellent knowledge of payroll and human resources.

· Ability to multitask and deliver projects.

· Thorough research and problem-solving skills

· Experts at meeting deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards

· Capable of providing a balanced and commonsense approach to routine and complex issues

· College diploma in accounting or related field or studying towards.

· At least two years of experience in a payroll position (manufacturing experience would be preferred).
