Job description

Title: Payroll Technician
Salary: $60-65 000 /year + benefits
Location: VSL (with remote work)
Schedule: 37.5 hours/ week flexible schedule hours

Our client, recognized as a leader in the shoe industry is actively looking for a payroll technician to join the team in the VSL office! They are a fun dynamic group!

Responsibilities
Responsible for all SAP Success Factor processes (load of hours, bonuses, pay calculations, interfaces, completing the pay, transmission to the bank and more).
Verify payroll results by applying internal control processes.
Preparing payroll related reports for internal and external request.
- Opening and testing of payroll tickets.
-Maintain, update and test the payroll system.
-File reports and process payments for the Canadian Worker’s Compensation.

- Assist in the production of Record of Employment statements and other payroll related documents.
-Contribute to year end payroll activities: T4, RL1, taxable benefits.
-Participate in external and internal audits.
-Backup for Senior HO Payroll administrator and Store Payroll.

Qualifications
Diploma in business administration, Accounting or related file.
Title of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) (an asset).
Possess 5 years of experience in the USA and / or Canada payroll field.
Possess 3 to 5 years of experience with automated payroll systems and good knowledge of SAP Success Factor.
- Possess experience as a systems analyst an asset.
-Advanced abilities to work with the Microsoft Office suite, more particularly with Excel.
-Knowledge of SAP Success Factor software an asset.
-Ability to manage a variety of tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
-Strong leadership and a team player.
-Strong communication skills and impeccable customer service.
-Adapts easily to change and is open to suggestions.
