Associate Financial Advisor
Raymond James Independent Financial Services is seeking a full-time Associate Financial Advisor for one of our independent branches.
Raymond James Ltd. is one of Canada’s leading independent investment dealers offering high quality investment services to Canadians seeking customized solutions to their wealth management needs.
This position requires an energetic, ambitious and driven investment professional. The successful candidate must have a meticulous attention to detail, possess a positive attitude, and has superior interpersonal skills, as you will be dealing directly with clients. We believe in high quality customer service.
Specifically, you will:
- Work closely with the lead advisor to manage fee-based investment portfolios
- Deal directly with clients, attend client meetings, present investment ideas and encourage disciplined investor behaviour
- Build, monitor and re-balance customized investment portfolios, in accordance with client’s profile and compliance requirements
- Assist in research, analysis, asset mix decisions, and investment product selection
- Execute trades
- Prepare investment policy statements, investment proposals & client review presentations
- Provide high quality client service, including phone, email, written & in-person communication
- Liaise with team to ensure that client portfolios are consistent with clients’ financial plans
- Maintain high standards of integrity, objectivity and expertise
- Build a profitable business and attract new clients in partnership with lead advisor

Specific Requirements:
- Appropriate licensing requirements - RR
- 5 years of financial services experience
- Knowledgeable in Asset Allocation and Portfolio Risk Management
- Experienced with general investment products (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.)
- Experienced using and preparing financial plans using planning software
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with or a working understanding of contact management software
