Job description

Our Nationally recognized client is looking for a skilled ServiceNow Solution Designer, operating under the guidance of the Assistant Director Service Management and Platform, to undertake a range of crucial responsibilities. This includes designing and documenting ServiceNow solutions, enhancements, and changes tailored to meet business requirements, particularly within the SAM Pro module. Additionally, the role involves developing interfaces between ServiceNow and Banking systems, supporting the entire development lifecycle, and prioritizing both functional and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with internal business clients, participate in business process redesign workshops, and provide essential technical feasibility assessments. Furthermore, they will be adept at reporting progress, resolving technical issues, ensuring smooth transitions from development to operation, and maintaining clear communication with project team members and stakeholders throughout the project.

*** This is a 12 month contract position with a 24 month option to extend ***

*** Hybrid role (required 8 days on-site in downtown Ottawa per month) ***

*** Candidates must be eligible for Government of Canada Security Clearance (5+ years in Canada) ***

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Assistant Director Service Management and Platform (ServiceNOW):

• Design and document ServiceNow solutions, enhancements and changes based on business
requirements related to the SAM Pro module
• Document key technical decisions, issues, and enhancements
• Design and develop interfaces between ServiceNOW and Banking systems
• Support the development lifecycle (Design, Develop, Test, Deploy & Maintain)
• Develop changes on ServiceNow platform through scripting, configurations and other development
activities
• Establish a technical project plan with key milestones and providing status updates
• Prioritize functional and technical requirements
• Participate in business process redesign workshops and providing technical feasibility assessments related
to the ServiceNow platform
• Work closely with and facilitate discussions with internal business clients to clarify requirements and
convert them into technical and functional requirements
• Report progress on development work and keep track of decisions, issues, enhancements through the
entire development lifecycle
• Assist in resolving technical issues
• Work with the support team to ensure transition from development to operation
• Communicate and collaborate with project team members and key stakeholders throughout the project
• Other related activities and deliverables as required

Qualifications
• University degree or college diploma in business, public administration, statistics or a related field
• A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as a developer for ServiceNow
implementations
• Demonstrated experience with different ServiceNow module (including, but not limited to ITSM, ITOM,
ITBM, SAM Pro, HR, SecOps)

The following will also be considered:

• Demonstrated ability to use data and information to inform problem solving in relation to building
systems and infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while working on multiple tasks
• Demonstrated experience working and leading discussions with a broad set of stakeholders
