As the Manager, Utility Services for Rocky View County, you won’t just be part of the team; you'll be driving change in utility service delivery in one of Alberta's most influential, and dynamic regions. Rocky View County is one of the most populated municipal counties and has the fifth largest equalized assessment base in the province. It’s robust economic development strategy focusing on investment attraction, business retention, and sector diversification makes for endless opportunities for both residents and industry.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, Utility Services, this key leadership position is responsible for the operations and delivery of water, wastewater, storm water, and solid waste and recycling services and programs to ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory approvals. The Manager will develop the strategy and provide oversight of all operations and contract portfolios related to these services to maintain a high level of customer service.
The Manager provides leadership, coordination, collaboration, and direction to ensure that services are provided to staff, residents, and stakeholders in a timely, accurate, effective, and efficient manner and works in conjunction with the Executive Director to develop short- and long-term strategies for the department.
We are seeking a strategic leader who understands the business metrics of utility services. You are adaptable, have strong political acumen and can visualize how utilities can become cost neutral for municipalities. You bring superior customer service to both internal and external customers and have a track record of creativity in an increasingly complex environment.
