Verathon® is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to become the newest member of our Operations Team located in our Burnaby, BC Office.
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for managing our Manufacturing Engineer team members. Offer team leadership in the form of mentorship, providing guidance, fostering a culture of excellence, and leading the team through continuous improvement. Lead the team through New Product Introduction and Production Process Improvements & Maintenance. Work cross functionally with Quality Assurance (QA) to maintain and improve our product quality. Working with our OH&S to promote the health and safety of our team while working on the production line.
As a working manager, you will have the opportunity to troubleshoot hardware & system issues in support of sustaining our medical devices and products. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is expected to work cross functionally to reduce defects, scrap, capital investment, cycle time, and increase yields.

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads the Manufacturing Engineering Team and is responsible for providing technical support to the Production, Quality Assurance and Product Development Engineering teams. This position requires close communication and coordinates activities between all three departments, providing feedback to improve the product design and manufacturing processes to reduce quality defects and costs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
P.Eng Required from EGBC (can work with candidate if they have an equivalent certificate)
3 years in a leadership or managerial role in a manufacturing environment
10+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
High level organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
Application of Lean and 6 sigma Manufacturing principles (Green Belt preferred)
Leadership and Mentorship skills required
Analytical approach to problem solving
The ability to read and interpret procedures and drawings
The ability to remain open to new ideas and to maintain a positive attitude with a focus on quality
Salary range – CDN $84,624 - $140,000 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location. If this position is filled outside the Greater Vancouver, BC area, this salary range will vary depending on the specific hiring location.)
Full-time non-sales employees are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
