To help grow, inspire, and lead our Digital Payments team. Reporting to the VP of Design & Product, this is a key role responsible for setting the strategic direction and implementation of strategy for digital payment capabilities that is rooted in addressing the needs of our customers and further Scotiabank's digital mandate.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Autonomously drive short and long-term product vision, strategy, goal setting, and execution for the established payment journeys and payment products
- Engage & cultivate relationships with key stakeholders from retail deposits, payments, unsecured lending, Fraud and Enterprise payments.
- Prioritizes, negotiate, and remove obstacles to ensure quality digital product launches.
- Collaborate with the Engineering & Design teams, providing them business context and engaging them to build the right products on time.
- Cultivates an inclusive, diverse, open, trustful, safe and fun working environment for their team where team members are energized and motivated to perform their best, charting growth plans for strong performers in the team
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 8+ years of experience in a role building customer-facing digital products, preferably focused on payments.
- A proven knowledge of retail and Small Business payments ecosystem and strong appreciation for the payment modernization efforts currently underway in Canada & Globally
- Managed multiple technology products and digital payment journeys end-to-end, from inception to delivery that were focused on making – Digital payments & commerce experience seamless.
- Experienced in building a product vision, rooted in customer needs in your past roles and have successfully achieved it through a sound execution strategy.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and have a flair for getting things done.
- Ability to prioritize work while multi-tasking on several high-profile projects with a keen eye on details.
- Curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty.
