Job description
Our client is hiring a Seasonal Team Leader to work in a leading bath and beauty products manufacturing company.
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Full-time, Seasonal
AM Shift: 7am - 3:30pm
PM Shift: 3:30pm - 12am
Must have experience in both leadership positions and factory experience with operating machines such as tablet pressing, labeling lines, accumulation tables, vmag extruders, sifters, and wrapping machines.
Responsibilities of the Roles:
-Assist in producing high-quality products.
-Perform dexterous tasks including but not limited to Filling, pouring, and pressing products accurately.
-Pack products and correctly label packages.
-Follow packing and shipping instructions according to department guidelines.
-Supporting and leading peers with daily duties and responsibilities while ensuring safety and SOP guidelines are being followed.
-Conduct daily inventory counts, and product rotation checks, investigate and reconcile inventory issues, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
-Available to work Full-Time AM/PM/Night Shifts. Able to do physical work for 8-hour shifts, on your feet, and lift 50 pounds.
-Capable of physical activities such as standing/walking for long durations, bending down, pulling, and pushing
-Flexibility to work within the Distribution, Digital, and Manufacturing businesses as required
-Confident with basic mathematics, ability to count, including addition and subtraction
-Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
-Able to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks
-Open and adaptable to daily feedback on performance
-Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable
-Comfortable with reading, writing, and speaking English in order to communicate with peers and leadership on all platforms (i.e. in person, via email, via Google/Teams chat)
-Comfortable providing and receiving feedback
-Commitment to abide by and oversee health & safety regulations
-Commitment to abide by and oversee our quality and good manufacturing practices
Preferred:
-Flexible to work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business
-Mechanical, equipment, and process knowledge.
-Manufacturing or Distribution experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, supply chain, or food industries.
-Experience working with targets.
-Experience working in high-volume production.
-Accustomed to working in a seasonal, high-pressure environment.
-Experience with warehouse equipment (picking carts, handheld scanners, pump trucks).
