Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a System Verification Engineer with relevant experience on developing automated test scripts / test procedures for control systems on a Hardware-In-the-Loop simulator, as well as supporting system integration and debugging for aircraft ground and flight tests.

The engineer will collaborate closely with the team overseeing the design of various aircraft systems and the associated embedded software (e.g. Electric Propulsion Unit, Aircraft Avionics/Primary Flight Display, Vehicle Management System). Successfully filling this role will result in delivering a reliable product compliant to its requirements and allowing safe aircraft operation. Experience with the following activities is highly recommended:

• Experience with highly integrated, safety critical systems (aerospace preferred).
• Direct influence and contribute with our Validation & Verification (V&V) strategy, build and promote good practices to enable a quality design.
• Write and execute test scripts/procedures and related test reports.
• Perform troubleshooting and recommend design changes for approval.
• Track and provide visibility over the integration campaign progress.
• Work with design team to drive mandatory changes.
• Work with the Test Organization to drive improvements to our integration infrastructure.
• Support design review and approval.
  

Required Competencies

• B.S. in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or other with relevant experience.
• 8 years experience in control systems development and verification.
• Experience with ARP4754A, ARP4761.
• Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, DO-254.
• Experience in requirements management tools such as Polarion, DOORS, Requiem etc.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Miscellaneous Requirements

• Experience with Matlab /Simulink.
• Experience with Agile Methodology.
• Experience with an aircraft or UAM development program.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English and French.
• Occasional travel required to customer sites (usually within North America).
• Possibility of assignment to customer site within the Montreal area.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
