Job description
BCIT's *School of Transportation* is seeking a *temporary Shop Maintenance Technician*. Responds to requests and trouble calls, completes work orders and provides quality service to the Heavy Equipment, Commercial Transport, Railway and Industrial Material Handling Logistics staff and students. Operates and maintains a variety of wheeled, railway and tracked equipment, carries out scheduled inspections, maintenance and repairs to machinery, equipment, and the railway lab. Coordinates the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) program, makes emergency repairs to a variety of equipment, and identifies requirements to outsource to external vendors. Takes functional direction from the Department Heads and Workshop Tool room Supervisor.
