Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking one Student Position for our Ottawa office for a short term assignment. The successful candidate will be part of the Electrical Power team within the Building’s Engineering group.

Your Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities will include but are not limited to, assisting Project Managers and Senior Electrical Engineers in power systems studies.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Demonstrated skill at organizing and planning work within tight deadlines.
• Detailed attention to requirements and ensuring quality work.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and common sense at work.
• The ability to work independently and maintain productivity unsupervised.
• The discipline to maintain required safe work procedures in any environment.
• Experienced at working well in a team environment.
• Strong English verbal and writing skills are required.
• French language skills are considered an asset.
• A working knowledge of Power Systems Analysis software like OSI ETAP and SKM PTW is beneficial.
• Advanced knowledge of automation programming (Visual Basic for Applications, Macros, etc.) within MS Excel and Access is an asset

Education and Experience

• Currently enrolled in a Diploma or Degree in a related discipline.
