About:
Our client, a leading civil engineering and mining firm, is seeking a Procurement Manager specializing in equipment and site services.
Responsibilities:
· The selected candidate will assume a pivotal role in steering the procurement and management of heavy equipment for our client's mining operations.
· Strategic Oversight: Apply a strategic mindset to oversee diverse teams, ensuring streamlined procurement processes.
· Budget Management: Effectively manage equipment and materials budgets, allocating resources judiciously.
· Operational Efficiency: Ensure optimal operational efficiency in the procurement and management of heavy equipment.
· Seamless Integration: Play a crucial role in seamlessly integrating procurement strategies for continued project success.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Proven success in managing fleets of small and heavy equipment.
· Background in civil earthworks or multidisciplinary firms overseeing large-scale, complex projects.
· Extensive experience leading teams in warehouse management, mechanics, service personnel, and site services.
· Demonstrated expertise in procurement, supply chain management, warehousing, material receiving, tracking, and efficient inventory management for small tools, consumables, and safety supplies.
· Proficiency in managing equipment and materials budgets, resource allocation, and optimizing operational efficiency.
· Trade qualification in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Parts, and Supply Chain, complemented by progressive supervisory and management skills.
