Radiologist-Locum, Temporary Full-Time (This is a locum position that is to be filled on an as needed basis over the next 2 years. The duration of work will be for varying lengths of time, ranging from 1 week to 2+ months, for full-time hours)
Radiology, Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre and James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor and Gander
Definition of work: Joined by a team of physicians, technologists, and nurses to provide the required services at one of the Authority's referral centres, the successful physician will be expected to provide the full scope of Radiology services. Available technology includes Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, including obstetrics, Digital Mammography including core biopsy and localizations, Bone Mineral Densitometry, Fluoroscopy (limited), Magnetic Resonance and Nuclear Medicine in addition to plain film x-ray. All technologies are available within a fully functional PACS environment. The coverage of on-call commitments, including weekends and holidays, are shared appropriately amongst all Radiologists. The successful physician must be willing to work in a team-based, client-focused environment, and partner with all team members to improve employee and patient safety by integrating safe work practices, identifying risk and implementing improvements when required.
Required qualifications:
* Eligible for registration and licensure as a Radiologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.
* A degree in Medicine in required.
* Satisfy credentialing requirements of Central Health.
* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
* A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
Hours of work: 75 hours bi-weekly-plus on-call obligations
Salary: $1335 per day for 56 days, then 1258.75 per day or Fee-for-Service (as per the Memorandum of Agreement and Department of Health MCP Billing)
