Job description

Our client a solid manufacturing group with head office in Europe is looking for a financial controller to oversee a small accounting departement . Great opportunity for someone looking for their first financial controller role or someone that is not afraid to be hands on. You will be reporting directly to the CFO and a doted line with operations.
This is a 6 figure position ideal candiat will have a CPA
position is 100% on-site but offer flexible hours of work . ** Must be local candidate to apply**

Responsibilities
Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions. ( AP, AR)
insure proper bank reconcialition
Oversee tax remittance ( PST-GST, etc..) as well as regulatory fillings
Responsible for the month-end , preparing the financial statements
Present consolidated financial reporting packages to senior management
Preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets, Variance analysis and monthly accruals
responsible to mainatain good internal controls

Provide leadership/mentorship to accounting staff and maintains appropriate skilled staff based on needs of the organization.

Qualifications
3-5 yeras of experience in accounting
Bachelor's degree in accouting or related business field
CPA a very strong asset
Bilingual ( all reporting is in english )
experience with interco and FX is a asset.
Must be comfortable working with a matrix reporting environment
