Position Overview:

Seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and fun individual to fill the role of Insurance Account Representative in our locally owned Desjardins Insurance Agency located in Fredericton, NB. We are a full-service agency specializing in Car, Home, Commercial, Life Insurance and Vehicle Financing.

Earning Potential:
Base salary + uncapped monthly commission & bonus plan
Health & Dental Benefits/Life Insurance Benefit (after 3 months)

Responsibilities:

• Grow the business by prospecting for, and developing client leads through multiple channels (social media, marketing, centres of influence etc.)
• Schedule appointments, identify client needs, and present appropriate products and service solutions
• Provide prompt, accurate, and extraordinary client experience
• Respond to inquiries regarding insurance availability, coverages, policy changes, transfers, etc.
• Work alongside the team and Agent/Owner in growing the business while developing yourself for a rewarding career

Skills & Requirements:

• Currently have or successfully obtain your Property & Casualty (OTL) and Life Insurance licences (we will pay for and, support you in this process)
• 2 years + office management experience
• Technical and Financial skills including data entry, spreadsheets and general IT tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask while being organized in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with some social media tools and are willing/comfortable using them to connect and interact with clients

This position is with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. This agent’s employees are not employees of Desjardins Insurance. Independent contractor agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
