Job description
CHC / Heli-One has an exciting opportunity for a Category Sourcing Specialist within its Indirect Category Team. This position will establish strong relationships across the global organization to build and execute the procurement and spend management strategies assigned global category(ies) of spend. This includes areas such as travel, credit card, facilities, IT, shop supplies, training, uniforms/work wear and other corporate services. This position provides a unique opportunity to support a variety of spend categories within a global organization. On any given day, you could be working with colleagues and suppliers from any of our locations, which may include Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Scotland, and the US.
We are seeking an ambitious, forward thinking Category Specialist that can partner with key stakeholders, including senior members of the organization, to support their indirect spend. The successful candidate will be able to transform their skills to deliver cost savings and process improvements through outstanding negotiation skills, strong financial & analytical skills and your ability to forge strong relationships across the organization and with suppliers.
Key responsibilities: - Build procurement strategy with key stakeholders including financial analysis of current spend and establishing priorities
- Ability to execute against the agreed to annual procurement strategy and other assigned projects
- Lead the end to end sourcing process including developing the sourcing strategy, building the project team and leading the team through the RFP process, contract negotiation and transition to steady state.
- Strong analytic skills to identify opportunities, conduct proposal response analysis and report on ongoing savings and compliance.
- Vendor management in conjunction with stakeholders to ensure contracts are transitioned into the steady state and compliant to drive expected results
- Support global programs in region including support of the travel, credit card, facilities and procurement programs as needed.
- Flexibility and adaptability in this role are key as it will support multiple time zones with evolving priorities
- May require international travel
General :
- Reporting of KPI, savings and other business or internal reviews with key stakeholders
- Regular reporting on progress and achievement of targets in the procurement strategies
- Collaboration and engagement with key stakeholders across CHC such as Finance, Legal, HR, Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance to CHC Procurement and other relevant policies
- Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
- Minimum 5 years Supply Chain / Strategic Sourcing experience
- Formal Education related to the skills required in this role
- Strong financial / analytical skill set. Ability to analyze a large set of data and use the analysis to formulate strategies and opportunities
- Outstanding negotiation skills
- Team player and ability to collaborate with key stakeholders
- Innovation and Problem Solving, ability to think out of the box to find creative solutions
- Strong business acumen with a high degree of professionalism
- Ability develop strong relationships across the organization and external vendors
- Adaptable to changing priorities
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) and generating reports
- Supply Chain accreditation (CPP, CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) is an asset
- Ability to demonstrate ethical conduct
- Strong written and verbal communication
