The Manager, Indirect Category Manager NAM, reports to Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement NAM and is responsible for executing global strategies in North American operations as well as developing strategies for regional-specific categories. This role has the opportunity to drive productivity and operational efficiencies by applying best-in-class strategies in a matrix environment and be part of transformational change and will work closely with Global Category Managers as well as North American manufacturing plants. This includes the categories of IT, Transport & Logistics, Fleet, Capital Equipment Projects, and Maintenance/MRO. Key Characteristics - Negotiation skills, including expert understanding of terms and conditions and executing contracts
- Communication and collaboration skills, engaging with a broad internal customer base
- Team building skills and the ability to successfully build working relationships with peers in other parts of the business, that result in an understanding of their parts of the business as well as to identify and leverage common suppliers' direct spend to a preferred supplier network.
Duties & Responsibilities: Scope: Approximately 25 plants in North America: Canada, the US, and the Caribbean - Engage with business leaders and a broad range of requesters for procurement of Indirect goods and services
- Conduct RPQs and award business using a methodical approach to drive business to a preferred supplier network, improve processes, and drive out cost
- Partner with internal stakeholders at a variety of levels throughout different Veolia business units
- Negotiate with suppliers to complete contracts
- Experience working with legal on contract language
Hard Skills: - Knowledge of the Indirect procurement space in an industrial environment

Required Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in business or operations, or equivalent experience
- 6 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, and manufacturing
- Proven leadership skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Preferred: - Experience with SAP, Ariba, and Google
- Demonstrated success navigating within a matrix organizations
