Group 7, $89,827 to $102,076
Reporting to the Executive Manager of Custodial , the Supervisor of Custodial Services is a demonstrated leader with team organizing abilities in a unionized environment. The incumbent will coordinate/execute effective custodial activities, supervise, support and train staff, scheduling, supply requests, security issues and building reviews. You will ensure buildings are maintained in accordance with our policies, procedures and legislated acts and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED - 5 years recent Supervising experience in building operations/maintenance
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Knowledge of custodial systems and procedures, building finishes, fire alarms, mechanical (HVAC) and electrical systems
- Knowledge of pertinent codes and legislation related to custodial services
- Understanding and experience with eBase software
- Service oriented with strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality and security.
- Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license (Full “G” License) and reliable transportation to travel within the LDCSB district.
- On a rotational basis, responsible for carrying the Board page for after-hour issues.
- Hours of work will be 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and Friday 2:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. with the opportunity to occasionally work days during summer and breaks.
