Job description

This is a contract position for a UX Researcher for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Four Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 2 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
Utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods, conduct research of user behaviours, digital needs and motivations
Perform Market and ethnographic research
Design the research plan with clear objectives, targeting users based on their needs and challenges
Write usability discussion guides to moderate user research sessions and document responses
Take a user-centered design approach and analyze survey data to document recommendations based on the goals of the project and the needs of the user
Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
Use a diverse set of UX research tools

Qualifications
Research Skills:

Experience in using many research methods including surveys, usability test, interviews, A/B testing, card sorting, analytics tools, etc.
Experience creating a user research plan

Communication Skills:
Experience conducting internal and external stakeholder interviews
Able to write effective UX research reports and summaries

Problem Solving Skills:
Understand the problem through user research and analysis

Design and Software Skills:
Experience designing customer journey maps and user personas
Proficient in wireframing and prototyping software
