An expanding privately owned General Contractor based in New Westminster is currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator. The organization undertakes a variety of commercial and light industrial projects ranging from new build office buildings and grocery stores to warehouses and tenant improvements. Projects range in size from $1-$10m and is undertaken in various locations across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. The owners of the company take pride in having an honest and communicative style with their clients.
Your new role
The position will suit a hardworking and well-organized Project Coordinator that has a strong attention to detail. You will be working closely with the Project Manager dealing with important administrative duties to ensure projects proceed in an organized and systematic manner. This may include tracking RFI’s, coordinating drawings, PO’s, project tracking, and contract management . The reputation of the organization is built on long-term repeat business and thus, strong communication skills are of paramount importance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this opportunity, you should have 3+ years’ experience working for a construction company in a comparable role here in Canada. Candidates that have been employed as Project Coordinator, Junior Estimator or Project Administrator will be considered. You must have an honest demeanour, strong organizational skills and enjoy working in a collaborative, small team environment.
What you'll get in return
You will receive an attractive compensation and benefits package ($60,000 - 75,000.) For the right person, the opportunity to advance and be mentored into a Project Manager role will exist.
