Great Blue Resorts owns and operates 10 private resort lakefront properties located throughout Ontario’s cottage country. These properties offer outright ownership of beautiful pre-manufactured seasonal recreational cottages. Our resorts have full facilities including community areas, swimming pools, splash pads, multi-sports courts, playgrounds and beaches.

ROLE OF A RESORT SPECIALIST
Resort Specialist Position Overview

The Resort Specialist role is designed to ensure the Corporate Objectives of maximizing profitability and Owner, Guest & Staff happiness for rental guests and potential owners by following the 3V Philosophy of Visibility, Velocity and Value. The Resort Specialist is a strong sales driver, profit focused and people oriented.
Sustaining positive relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and strong financial returns for investors is also key.
Skills

A Resort Specialist requires strong sales driving skills, ability to motivate an internal sales team, organizational skills and the ability to perform multiple revenue generating opportunities with rental guests and potential owners.

The Resort Specialist should possess the tools to effectively help the Resort Specialist in revenue generation activities, organize and provide detail administrative activities.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities

The Resort Specialist role is to help ensure the maximum profitability of all incremental business activities, while providing customer satisfaction through high standards of service and positively impacting the overall customer experience.
The Resort Specialist’s responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
PROFITABILITY
Profitability is achieved through Revenue Generation, Expense Management and Administration.
1. Revenue Generation
a. Answer incoming calls to our rental department
b. Performs activities to achieve profitability of Rental bookings, Rental Add on Revenue and Sales Tour Bookings.
i. Be up-to-date on all local information, accommodation services and the current packages, promotions and procedures
ii. Book reservations
iii. Process reservation requests for all our resort properties, make changes and manage cancellations received by phone, email or fax in a courteous, efficient and professional manner
iv. Ensure deposits are processed as required for individual and group reservations
v. Sell activities packages including pontoon boat tours and rentals, fishing boat rentals and upgrades to reservations

c. May perform sales related activities:
i. Provide information about our properties for vacations and park model cottage sales tours
ii. May book sales appointments
iii. Works closely with the Resort Operations and Sales team to understand, communicate and execute marketing and communication strategy.
2. Administration
The Resort Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completion of all rental related financial and operational administration.

a. Achieves 2021 License of Occupation and Insurance collection status by April 15th equal to 100%. 2022 Fee collections, License of Occupation and Insurance collection status by December 31st equal to 100%.
b. Monitor web sites to ensure content, including images and descriptions are correct and up to date.
c. Executes Committee Ideas to maximize profitability

HAPPINESS
The Resort Specialist is responsible for achieving Happiness of Owner, Guest & Staff through strategic people and property management.

1. People management
a. Happiness scores of + 90%
b. Positive Social Media reviews based on Company wide targets
c. Thank You communications from Owners and Guests based on Company wide targets
d. No negative feedback from Vendors and other parties
e. Overall positive staff environment
