As an Intern, IT, you will join the Potash IT team and become part of a larger Nutrien IT team and will share responsibility for supporting all the IT systems. You could be asked to do everything from providing support to users to implementing advanced networks to collaborating on the use of innovative technologies to solve business problems. As an Intern, IT, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our implemented information and communication systems and technology. This position will collaborate with local and Corporate IT teams to maintain systems and satisfy end user requests. This is a great opportunity to get exposed to all aspects of systems administration including Cisco networking, VMWare & Microsoft administration.

This position reports to the Director, IT, Potash. This is a student job with flexible start date and term length for 2024.

What you will do:

• Providing IT technical support to Nutrien users
• Hardware & software deployment, management, and support
• Exposure Cisco networking, VMWare & Microsoft systems administration
• Supporting innovative IT projects in mining

What you will bring:

• Must be currently enrolled in, and returning to a Computer Science, Technology, MIS, Data Science, Business Analysis or equivalent degree/diploma program from an accredited post-secondary institution
• Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
• Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
• Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
• Motivation to set and achieve goals
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and nurture projects forward
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
