Exciting Opportunity Alert! Our client in Ottawa is actively seeking a dynamic Clinical Data Analyst to join their team on a full-time basis.
As a Clinical Data Analyst, you will be responsible for most aspects of data management activities in support of assigned clinical studies. While also ensuring that the quality of services meets internal and external customer requirements.
Ideal candidates should have 1-3 years experience in a data analyst or similar role, a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, and proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages: R, SQL, JSON. Additionally, experience in reporting with either Power BI or Tableau is preferred.

Shifts: Monday – Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
Job type: Full-time | Temporary | 1 year contract
Duties and Responsibilities:
With appropriate manager oversight, performs all data analytics activities for assigned studies:
Data Quality listings and reports mainly by R, SQL, JSON and Power BI
Analyzes data, identifies trends; prepares data tables for clinical reports as applicable
Ensures that all data analytics activities for assigned studies are completed on time and with high quality or escalates as appropriate.
Communicates well with peers, study teams and management as appropriate
Represents the Data Analytics group at study team meetings.
Follows departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Departmental Work Instruction (DWIs), guidelines and best practices.
Additional study specific activities
Required Education and Experience:
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
Minimum 1-3 years in a data analyst or similar role.
Bachelor’s Degree (Data science/Computer/Software engineering)
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills.
Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office.
Programming experience in 2 of the following R, SQL, JSON
Reporting experience in any of the following: Power Bi, Tableau
Excellent Communications skills, both oral and written.
Ability to analyze and interpret data, and document conclusions.
Analytical skills, creativity and innovative approach to problem solving.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and to work independently.
Strong investigational skills, drive to understand and solve problems.
Propensity for continuous learning
Has a general understanding of the clinical trial process and regulations that apply
