Job description


NET Programmer/Developer must have a minimum of 8+ years

3-5 years of experience in Data warehousing design and development with a focus on extracting, and transforming data coming from various data sources and loading it into star/snowflake schemas

Experience in Microsoft BI stack including:

o Power BI – Report Development (BI As a Service)

o SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, SLQ, MS Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, DB, DW

o Source To Target Mapping, Data Modeling

Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards

Experience with informatica

Responsibilities

Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, and works to improve the structure and efficiency of an organization’s I&IT systems. The I&IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures, and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT. Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance. General Skills: Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of a specific deliverable Provide the quality assurance/quality control of specific deliverables Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding expectations Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables Prepares reports and presentations including options, recommendations, implementation plans, etc. Works with clients to define the scope of a project and to determine requirements Defines software, hardware, and network requirements Analyzes I&IT requirements giving independent and objective advice on the use of I&IT Designs, tests, installs, and monitors new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new systems Familiar with change-management principles and methodology knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.

Qualifications
ET Programmer/Developer must have a minimum of 8+ years of the following skills:

· 3-5 years of experience in Data warehousing design and development with a focus on extracting, and transforming data coming from various data sources and loading it into star/snowflake schemas

· Experience in Microsoft BI stack including:

Experience leading design and solution architect discussions for web-based and/or reporting applications
Experience developing applications that are deployed to three-tier infrastructure with load-balancing on both the presentation and application tiers
Experience with troubleshooting and remediation of performance issues in web-based applications and Windows services
Experience working with source control systems, such as Visual Studio 2017
Experience developing applications that use a relational database to store and retrieve data
Experience developing multi-threaded services using .Net or C#
· Demonstrates experience with developing ETL solutions to populate data warehouses and create data extracts for the purpose of business intelligence reporting

· Design, build, automate, and optimize complex data ETL/ELT processes using PL/SQL and equivalent

· Experience in debugging mappings, transformations, source qualifier files, and queries

· Demonstrates experience developing star schema multi-dimensional models

· Experience with developing, debugging, and enhancing the performance of complex SQL queries

· Demonstrates experience developing Unix shell scripts

· Demonstrates experience using Power Designer to review data models, as well as make changes and generate DDL scripts

· Demonstrates experience developing application code packages using Azure DevOps

· Hand-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, building Business Intelligence reports and dashboards

· Demonstrated experience with M, DAX, and Power Query

· Demonstrated experience collaborating with Developers, Testers, and Program Managers

· Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and the Power Platform

· Proven experience with SQL Server and Power BI Datasets

Experience developing, testing, and debugging code for enhancements to systems using Web API, ASP.NET, AngularJS, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Oracle is an asset
