The role
The SEM Analyst plays a pivotal role at Busbud by analyzing and optimizing our Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns. Their mission is to use data to drive qualified traffic, increase brand visibility, and contribute to revenue growth through strategic analysis of our paid search initiatives.
The SEM Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing data to drive planning, implementing, and managing our SEM campaigns across various platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other relevant networks. This role involves conducting thorough keyword research, crafting compelling ad copy, monitoring campaign performance, and making data-driven optimizations to ensure maximum ROI and achievement of marketing objectives.
What you can expect from the opportunity
- Data Analysis: Regularly analyze campaign data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to enhance performance.
- Campaign Strategy: Develop and execute SEM strategies aligned with business goals, targeting specific customer segments, destinations, and products.
- Keyword Research: Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-potential search terms and create keyword lists that align with campaign objectives.
- Ad Creation: Write engaging and relevant ad copy that resonates with target audiences while adhering to platform best practices.
- Bid Management: Set, monitor, and adjust keyword bids to achieve desired ad positions and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Landing Page Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure landing pages are relevant, user-friendly, and optimized for conversions.
- A/B Testing: Plan and execute A/B tests for ad copy, landing pages, and other campaign elements to continuously improve performance.
- Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, monitor competitor campaigns, and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports, showcasing key metrics, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
How you can impress us
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in managing SEM campaigns, preferably in the travel or tech industry.
- Proven track record of driving successful SEM campaigns with demonstrated improvements in key metrics.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in using analytics platforms to analyze campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Search Engine Marketing: In-depth understanding of SEM principles, strategies, and best practices.
- Keyword Research: Proficiency in using keyword research tools and the ability to identify relevant, high-performing keywords.
- Ad Copywriting: Strong copywriting skills to create compelling and concise ad copy.
- A/B Testing: Experience in designing and interpreting A/B tests to optimize campaign elements.
- Digital Advertising Platforms: Familiarity with Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other relevant advertising platforms.
- Landing Page Optimization: Knowledge of landing page best practices and their impact on conversion rates.
- Team Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

- Click-Through Rate (CTR): Ensuring ad relevance and enticing copy.
- Conversion Rate: Optimizing landing pages and ad targeting for higher conversions.

- Quality Score: Improving ad quality and relevancy for better ad placement.
- Ad Position: Achieving desired ad placements within budget constraints.
- Campaign ROI: Ensuring campaigns contribute positively to the company's bottom line.
