Reporting within a matrix structure to the Manager of Urban Operations in Regina, Manager of Primary Health Care (Clinical Integration) in Regina & Manager of Provincial Community Paramedicine, the ACP Community Paramedic Coordinator is an integral member of EMS-Health Network collaborative team. Responsibilities include leadership, quality improvement, development of work standards and coordinating best practices applicable to patient clinical care and safety in a community setting. The Coordinator will provide visible, proactive leadership and education while promoting the delivery of client centered care through educational programming and leadership. While mentoring, supervising and coordinating care, the Coordinator will identify learning needs through collaborative ongoing quality improvement, planning, implementation, evaluation and quality assurance.
Job Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent. Advanced Care Paramedic (currently licensed in the province of Saskatchewan). Emergency Vehicle Operation Course. Certificate in Health Care Administration or equivalent preferred.
Experience A minimum of five years' experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Demonstrated success working in community as a paramedic integrated in Health Networks. Demonstrated success within a Supervisory role and/or demonstrated success within a Field Training role.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of the organization's Standard of Work and Work Standards.
- Thorough knowledge and application of SHA Values, Protocols, and Work Standards, demonstrating accountability, compassion, dependability, respect and honesty.
- Thorough knowledge of the provincial Ambulate Act and EMS provincial protocols.
- Through knowledge of all equipment pertinent to the scope of practice of a paramedic.
