Job description
What you’ll be doing:
Administer purchase orders for annual service contracts
Purchase gift cards and transit tickets for YWCA programs
Purchase organizational stationery, such as letterheads, business cards et al
Maintain inventory of common office supplies
Research and source items, obtaining price quotations as needed
Analyze costs and create comparison spreadsheets as required
Recommend alternative products/services when applicable
Recordkeeping of insurance paperwork, including inventories and insurance certificates
Participate in Requests for Proposals for various segments based on organizational need
Miscellaneous purchasing duties
Develop effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders
Resolve internal customer issues and problems to ensure quality product delivery and satisfaction
Maintain a pleasant and secure working environment
Act as a liaison with other departments
Other duties as required
What you’ll need:
Minimum 2 years purchasing or office administration experience
Excellent negotiation and communication skills – written and verbal
Highly organized with good time management skills
Flexible, self-motivated, able to work independently
Detail oriented
Strong proficiency with Office 2010 software, particularly Excel
Customer service experience
A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
The YWCA Metro Vancouver’s COVID-19 vaccination policy is currently suspended and as a result, vaccination from COVID-19 is not required at this time.
