Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Implementation Specialist provides leadership and facilitation for implementations and initiatives being supported by and led through the People Portfolio requiring interdepartmental collaboration in order to ensure implementation of provincial programs, portfolio-wide projects, or deliverables required as part our commitments to implement collective agreements. Works with leaders at all levels and inspires others to achieve goals and deliverables through facilitation, and effective communication. Responsible and accountable for leading, directing, and coordinating the overall implementation of these projects by overseeing assigned project resources, developing implementation plans, and ensuring plans are aligned using project management methodology and Island Health's strategic vision.
A Baccalaureate degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related discipline, five (5) to seven (7) years of direct related experience including project administration/management, preferably in a multi-union health care or public sector environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
