We have sent over 180 volunteers to Mexico and Colombia since 2009 and we continue to grow! We are looking for volunteer teachers in Colombia. Semester program: teaching in exchange for housing and meals with a Colombian teacher – no work visa required. Time commitment is between two and four months (dates flexible, for reference the semesters begin February and August). Locations: Current request is department of Casanare. The program is an English teaching assistant position working with public school English teachers in-classroom and in conversational English classes.
Qualifications: 24+ years old with undergraduate degree; 1 year of teaching experience OR CELTA/Oxford Seminars TEFL certificate for Semester program. Online program (volunteers can choose one or both depending on preference): A) Teaching public school teachers online, two times a week, 5-7pm Colombia time. Teachers work with Secretary of Education of Cauca B) Teaching public school students online with in-classroom Colombia teacher, mornings Colombia time, two mornings a week, two hours each morning Note we are a volunteer organization and these are opportunities to exchange your experience, language, and teaching skill for new friendships in Colombia.
