As Accounting Manager, you will be managing day-to-day operations and overseeing full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, costing, and internal management reporting. Additionally, your strong technical background and familiarity with ERP systems will enable you to drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing our financial close and reporting processes. 

Location:   Markham, ON (Hybrid) 

Status: Full-Time  

Responsibilities:  

• Ensure that the day-to-day operations of the Finance department are running smoothly and oversee the workflows that generate the monthly reports
• Manage and oversee full cycle accounting, Accounts Payables, Receivables, Costing, Internal management reporting
• Review General Ledger Maintenance and reconciliations
• Provide guidance and manage team members
• Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and other applicable taxes
• Prepare government remittances (provincial, federal, GST, NRT withholding, and more)
• Perform an efficient and effective financial close and reporting

Requirements:

• BA in Finance, Accounting
• CPA preferred
• Strong accounting skills
• Strong technical background, with a thorough understanding of accounting standards, statutory accounts, taxation, and reporting
• 4+ years in full cycle accounting with a focus on month-close
• Experience with ERP system
• Solid intermediate-advanced Excel experience

Nice to Have:

• Previous Microsoft Dynamics experience
