Position: Front Office Manager
Salary: $18 per hour

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Front Office Manager will assist and support in managing the front desks overall day-to-day operations through maintaining established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees all the while, exceeding guest expectations and connecting to the community.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES / DELIVERABLES
- Assists general manager in yielding rates, and achieving budgeted revenues.
- Follows the departments budget and operates in a cost effective manner.
- Client services or management experience.
- Sets an example to the other team members by being warm, hospitable, and gracious to all customers.
- Liaises with travel partners on reservations and inputs reservations into our property management system.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Manages the front desk operations and staffs accordingly.

- The ability to remain positive and focused in a fast-paced environment.

- Monitors and controls group, contracts, inventory, and rates.
- Provides prompt and accurate invoices to groups upon departure.
- Ensures satisfaction of guests on arrival, during their stay, and before departure. Solves all customer issues on the spot, with a ‘can do' attitude.
- Ensures proper cash handling procedures are in place and practiced by all team members of front desk.
- Ensures proper opening and closing procedures are being practiced and send provides financial reports to the management team.
- Additional duties as required by management.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Will be responsible for day-to-day financial performance, reports and cost controls.
SUPERVISION OR TRAINING DUTIES
Will supervise and manage a small front desk team.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically fit and able to perform all aspects of the duties as outlined in "Essential duties and responsibilities"
TOOLS / EQUIPMENT
Computer and office equipment with general knowledge of hotel, housekeeping and facility maintenance equipment.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience :
- High school diploma or a college degree, (2) years hotel and management/supervisory experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Willingness and ability to work weekends and over night shifts when required.
- Full time and may need to work weekends and evenings from time to time, as required.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
