Job description
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Construction Manager & Superintendents with various aspects of constructing homes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all job sites at all times. Including:
- Ensuring sites are clean and in order.
- Ensuring the property is respectful of neighboring properties.
- Site signage placement and maintenance.
- Monitor and control trade cleanup .
- Ensure construction protection is installed and kept in place.
- Maintain lock boxes and security of sites.
- Perform small carpentry tasks or other simple construction oriented tasks.
- Assist in the day to day activities associated with each individual project, checking on them daily.
- Organize and manage warranty work and trade days as required.
- Assist in ordering materials and scheduling trades & suppliers as required.
- Establish and maintain successful working relationships with trade & supplier partners.
- Complete assigned tasks in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure you maintain an appropriate personal appearance.
- Maintain an active and consistent line of communication and means of support with both office & field staff in a courteous and timely manner, including emails and phone calls.
- Attend meetings, information sessions and social events as required and keep notes of important info.
- Be prepared for and understand occasional tasks that may be required outside of your regular business hours (typically 7:30-4:30).
- Contribute to achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Position Requirements:
- Experience and expertise in a construction role.
- Comprehension of all construction related paperwork including floor plans, engineering plans, construction specifications, selection and change order documentation.
- Positive attitude and disposition, and a desire to be and do your best.
- Drive and Initiative - Able to anticipate the needs of each department, and action on those needs without direct requests.
- Dynamic - demonstrate the ability to wear multiple hats, and shift gears to adjust quickly to changing environments and projects.
- Time management - able to work under pressure and being mindful of the allotted time frame set for projects.
- Active listener - able to give full attention to others, understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate.

Qualification Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in field construction role.
- Ability to carry out physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, sweeping etc.
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
- Experience in the residential construction and development industry.
