DLC Greenteam, the West Island’s Leading Landscaping and Snow Removal company, is looking for a Landscape Supervisor to join our passionate and steadfast team. As a full-time, year-round member of DLC operations, he/she will be responsible for daily field managerial functions amongst our maintenance departments.

The Landscape Supervisor will be responsible for planning, managing, and ensuring the deployment of crews in our landscape departments as well as following strict guidelines to measure and manage crew quality, efficiency & productivity.

The right candidate for the job possesses strong leadership and communication abilities, tough-mindedness, a clean and professional presentation, an organized mind-set and the drive to push the status quo in order to achieve high results for him/herself and for the company.

Responsibilities and Duties: Managing the employee work schedules and dispatching the lawn, garden and fertilization crews in the morning Training & development of field staff, promoting and advancement through company career ladder Quality control in the field and keeping jobs on and under budget. Final approval of timesheets & ensuring proper clock-ins. Employee-relations: troubleshooting with crews in the field (i.e. material issues, employee assistance), on-site inspections and on-going training sessions. Client-relations: resolving disputes, damages, billing inquiries, etc. Sales component: upselling while on sites, business development, snow removal, density prospecting.

Qualifications and Skills: Five (5) years of experience in the landscaping industry, in a medium-high level operations position. Must have expert Green Industry education and/or experience (GEP in landscaping or horticulture) - both for lawn care and garden care. Expert knowledge of plant identification and plant disease and pest management treatments. Proficiency with the use and maintenance of maintenance equipment such as mowers & small engine equipment. Have or are willing to obtain Pesticide Applicator License. Current valid driver’s license (class 5, 1 or 3) and eligible to drive under our insurance requirements. Bilingual in English and French. Spanish is an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams. A tough-minded personality with the ability to enforce protocols without wavering. Able to effectively use email and other computer software (MS Office Suite) necessary to carry out the job of communication and scheduling. Proven ability to organize and utilize time management and prioritization skills to effectively manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands. A true team player.
