The Real Estate Coordinator provides support to the Real Estate department by documenting and tracking contract & lease transactions, collecting market information, payment of rent with respect to leases, and completing administrative tasks to meet the needs of the Real Estate team for The Co-operators.

* What you’re responsible for :
- Summarize lease documentation and update information into the ProLease database.
- Track and collect outstanding lease documentation.
- Complete preliminary drafts of Right to Take Over (RTO) Agreements/Mutual Releases/Subleases (internal clients) from standard templates.
- Complete lease reconciliations; lease audits; rent changes; landlord and tenant issue resolution; internal updates; sublease chargebacks; source insurance certificates.
- Validation of monthly rent roll for corporate offices for approval submission.
- Update and provision of reporting and budget information to internal clients through use of ProLease database.
- Tracking and collecting Tenant Improvement Allowances, statutory declarations, and invoices as necessary as it relates to leases.
- Review and validation of tenant acknowledgements and estoppel certificates for signature by field.

To join our team :
- Completion of Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration with 2 years of commercial real estate lease management experience is preferred.
- Working toward the Commercial Leasing Officer (CLO) designation from REIC and/or 2 years of experience in commercial real estate lease documentation.
- Proficient in the use of lease software (ProLease). Strong understanding of a commercial real estate lease and what is required to support that documentation.
- Working knowledge of commercial real estate leases and lease accounting knowledge.
- Accurate keyboarding skills and the ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
