Job Description

• Speech and language therapists provide lifechanging treatment support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication eating drinking and swallowing. You ll help people who for physical or psychological reasons have problems speaking and communicating.

Requirements

If you have some practical experience with individuals who have difficulties with communication or with eating drinking and swallowing we strongly encourage you to provide information about it in your statement and at the interview. This experience should not relate to your own experience of speech and language therapy or that of other members of your immediate family. In your statement you should include a reflection about the range of roles speech and language therapists undertake and how they support and effect change with clients rather than a simple description of the kinds of conditions or clients they work with. You should not describe your own experiences or those of your family members.
