Hays Human Resources division in Ontario is partnered with our client in Markham, to hire a Human Resources Generalist to join the growing Human Resources team.

The company has been around for over 20 years and due to continued growth and progression planning, the company is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join their growing People and Culture team, based out of the head office in Markham.



Your new role



As the Human Resources Generalist, reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner for your assigned client group, you will work daily to continually propose and implement administrative and people processes to create efficiencies, improve, and streamline the HR department. You will be responsible for ensuring all administrative duties related to human resources are updated in a timely manner and will support your assigned client group as a first POC for both employees and managers. This role is for someone who maintains a high level of detail and confidentiality. You will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Business Partner and Human Resources Director in the management of all employee files, enroling staff into benefits, and supporting with new hire inputs into the payroll and HRIS system. You will support employees in your client group for employee relations, and coach and support managers for the areas of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development, Employee and Labour Relations and more. This is a true generalist position, for someone who brings established HR experience, and who is keen to continually develop and grow in their career.



What you’ll need to Succeed



To succeed as the Human Resources Generalist, you will bring 4+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources and be experienced in a Generalist capacity and must have experience from manufacturing. You will have education relating to Human Resources and have achieved or be in pursuit of your CHRP. You will have experience relating to recruitment and onboarding and have solid Human Resources Administrative capabilities, along with established experience in all Generalist areas. You will do well in a fast-paced environment and be highly organized. You will maintain fantastic interpersonal and communication skills. You will have experience with excel, and you will enjoy a fast-paced environment and maintaining multiple projects and lines of communication simultaneously.
