Our client, a leading player in the electrical industry, is seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to join their team on a 12-month contract basis, with potential for permanency. Responsibilities
• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives in the electrical poleline hardware industry.

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Infor Birst or Microsoft Power BI, providing stakeholders with intuitive visualizations for data-driven decision-making.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including ERP systems, databases, and external APIs to create a unified and comprehensive view of business performance and operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, proactively identifying anomalies or areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to optimize processes and achieve business goals.
• Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to forecast future trends, demand, and customer behavior, supporting strategic planning and resource allocation decisions.
• Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and dashboards, ensuring proficiency and enabling self-service access to data for informed decision-making across departments.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in BI technology, recommending enhancements to existing processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness in data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications
• Proficient in analyzing complex data sets and deriving actionable insights to drive business decisions.
• Extensive experience with BI tools such as Infor Birst or Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development and data visualization.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate data from multiple sources and platforms to create unified views for decision-making.
• Familiarity with statistical techniques and predictive modeling for forecasting and trend analysis.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex data findings to stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
