Job description
The Executive(s) acts as an intermediary between brokerage and insurance companies. The Executive(s) will also provide service beyond expectation according to our clients and standards. The foundation to be used in all situations will be to apply our Companies Core Values of "lntegrity, Competency and Empathy" in all of your dealings with prospects, clients, companies and fellow co-workers.
Responsibilities: Primary function is use your in-depth knowledge of risks and the insurance market to arrange legally binding insurance contracts to meet clients' needs while acting in accordance with brokerage and insurer procedures and guidelines while achieving annual new business sales targets.
Qualifications:
- RIBO license and working on or completion of CAIB.
- Strong sales skills in personal lines with minimum 3-5 years' experience
- Commercial sales/service experience beneficia
- Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a diverse dynamic team.
- Good communication skills.
- Proven effectiveness in service.
- Positive, supportive and enthusiastic team member.
- Enthusiasm towards work with a passionate desire for meeting challenges.
- Flexible and a self-starter, able to multi-task.
- Strong understanding of Customer and lnsurance market dynamics and requirements.

Sales Function:
- Self-initiate and execute Prospecting strategies, such as networking, promotion and harvesting of centres of influence, to develop new leads and capture expiry dates.
- Attend networking events during and after hours
- Qualify Prospects to assess fit to Brokerage and lnsurer target markets, with long term retention of client as ultimate objective.
- Assess prospect/client's needs and provide accurate insurance advice to cover their exposures and meet their needs to their satisfaction.
- Provide an ACCURATE quote to prospect based on information provided.
- Sell VALUE of dealing with self and brokerage.
- Communication of features and benefits of each available option with recommendations of insurer and coverage.
- Move prospects through the sales cycle to close on the sale and binding the business.
Performance Standards: - Ability to meet or exceed sales goals annually.
- Respond to client and insurer inquiries in a timely manner with the goal of exceeding their expectations.
- Update client information on system as necessary.
- Participate in training and seminar courses and implement learning into the practical work environment.
- Obtain a minimum of 8 continuing education hours annually.
- Request referrals for Business and Life Leads.
- Remain open to learn and share knowledge and skills with others.
- Adherence to developed standard operating procedures and guidelines.
