The Lead, Clinical Informatics reports to the Director, Clinical Outcomes, works as part of the WEST Alliance Office (AO) and is responsible for leading and supporting clinical work flow design and change initiatives in support of the development and prioritization of the clinical information solutions strategic road map for Workplace Evolving Services and Technologies (WEST) that includes prioritization and escalation of change requests / issues. The position carries out Health Authority (HA) engagement with the clinical community to gather requirements, build consensus, and to assess vendor performance for clinical services against requirements, both contractually and financially. The Lead functions as a link between clinical HA forums and the AO to ensure there is full awareness of the HA priorities as they relate to these services which informs continual service improvement to drive value at the point of care and improve clinical user experience.
Leads and/or attends as a member of governance forums on clinical informatics committees, and regularly attends management meetings regarding clinical informatics, participates in service change/adjustment discussions. The Lead, Clinical Informatics develops new work policies and procedures that impact HA staff, collaborates on financial forecasting based on any improvements and is responsible to ensure a lean methodology is incorporated into any process changes. Applying a broad range of both clinical and informatics knowledge and experience, the Lead, Clinical Informatics provides direction and leadership to staff and works collaboratively with clinical and business stakeholders to support change and is responsible for coordinating user acceptance testing for clinical applications.

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time
Salary Range: $86,398 - $124,197 /year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
