Job Description

The Registered Dietitian, in collaboration with the Aramark Healthcare Menu Development Team, the Director of Support Services, and Lead Hand Cooks, creates and implements bi-annual seasonal menus for Acute, Long-Term Care and Supportive Housing settings. This position provides flexibility to work from home up to 4 days per week (dependent upon business needs).

Job Responsibilities

Abilities and Skills :

• Initiative and judgment to organize and maintain work flow;
• Demonstrates leadership, communication and organizational skills;
• Ability to work independently, interdependently and collaboratively with others; and
• Ability to form and maintain working relationship with client.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create a 4-week menu that meets the recommended National Standards for Long-Term Care, Nutrition & Food Services;
• Create a menu that aligns with the client’s budget for the meal day cost;
• Develop appropriate therapeutic and texture modified menus for each seasonal menu;
• Support food service teams utilizing meal management programs;
• Regularly communicate and meet with Lead Hand Cooks through education and training, virtual meetings, in-person visits; and
• Organize and update the Nutrition and Food Services Resource Manual as required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution with course work accredited or approved by the appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies;
• Earn and maintain applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials and continuing education requirements by the appropriate accredited local agencies; and
• Formal eligibility to practice dietetics in geographic location where applicable

Conditions of employment include busy hospital and outpatient settings, from patient rooms/floors to kitchen/serving areas.
