Leader: Nikki Briggs, Head of W by ATB
As ATB’s next Director, W by ATB, you will directly impact the operations and revenue of ATB Business by providing coaching and direction to all ATB Business team members in the area of W by ATB. There is a responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with the Regional Leadership Team and Sales Teams to ensure awareness of and engagement with W by ATB as a strategic focus area of ATB.
Reporting to the Head of W by ATB, you are a connected relationship builder that has genuine, deep rooted and influential relationships with the women business owner and leader community and related partners in Alberta and is committed to the success of both ATB and Women in Business communities in the province.
Director, W by ATB Accountabilities:
- Team Members
- Through active participation in sales team meetings and one on one meetings with team members, be a conduit for W by ATB by providing direction and leadership to all ATB Business team members on the ‘how’ of banking W clients
- Support goal setting and coaching of leaders and team members to ensure W by ATB revenue, profit and growth objectives are established and met. Energize the teams to help understand the need for results
- Leveraging past experience and industry best practices, provide expertise in developing and monitoring the credit practices for W by ATB
- By maintaining a collaborative presence in the market, develop relationships with prospective W by ATB clients, and refer business/prospects to other lines of business
- Clients
- Develop and manage banking relationships with W by ATB clients (women business owners and leaders) serving as a dual banking contact (with Sales Teams) on behalf of ATB consistent with ATB’s engaged client approach to managing client relationships
- Passion for conducting client visits, joint sales calls/visits, prospect meetings and for connecting with centers of influence regularly, with a significant amount of time dedicated to enhancing and deepening new and existing client relationships
- Analyze client files and existing relationships for opportunities to maximize the relationship by understanding the client’s needs and providing recommendations to develop new solutions across ATB
- Analyze and assist in the negotiation of new transactions ensuring profitability of the relationship
- Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of the customer and the ability to analyze and provide value added advice.
- Community
- Work collaboratively with the Head of W by ATB to review community engagement models and when required, identify prospects identified from marketing data and analysis or other referral sources
- Develop and maintain deep community connections with stakeholders and partners in the women in business ecosystem
- Actively participate in internal and external events, promoting W by ATB by supporting initiatives that are important to the success of women across Alberta
- Business Development - Establish and enhance W by ATB's presence and profile in the market area by participating in business and community activities
- General
- Maintain a deep knowledge of the Alberta regulatory and legislative environment with respect to women owned and led businesses.
- Act as a subject matter expert internally and for external economic development partners on the challenges, concerns and roadblocks that women business owners and leaders face in order to find banking solutions that work for their specific needs
- Contribute vision and strategy, as it relates to team member and client initiatives, to project related work required to be completed and built within W by ATB
Requirements
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum of 5 years commercial/corporate lending experience
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
- Proven ability to provide creative solutions and employ change management strategies
- Interest in the development and support of women owned and led businesses
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial lending policies and products
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal contacts and associates
- Proven ability to generate new business and meet growth targets
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Business or Finance related degree is an asset
- Graduate degree and/or CFA designation would be an asset
