Principal Job in India - August 2024 start
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to lead an American curriculum K-12 school in Hyderabad, India. As Principal, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the school.
Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership and direction for the school in alignment with its mission and educational philosophy
- Oversee all aspects of school operations including academics, faculty, extracurricular activities, admissions, finance, facilities etc.
- Recruit, mentor, evaluate and develop an outstanding faculty and staff
- Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff and the board
- Ensure the school follows American curriculum standards and requirements
- Foster a positive school culture that promotes excellence, inclusion and innovation
- Lead strategic planning to set and achieve short and long-term goals
- Ensure the school is compliant with all local laws, regulations and requirements
- Represent the school positively with all external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Education Administration or relevant field
- 7+ years experience as a principal or senior administrator at an international school
- In-depth knowledge of American curriculum and pedagogy
- Experience leading a diverse school community
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Passionate about education and students' growth and success
- Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Australia) with working experience of IB School.
- Must be a native speaker of English. Prefer candidates with international experience. Especially IB Schools in India
- A western passport and have English as your first spoken language.
- A teaching qualification such as a B.Ed/Dip Ed/Dip Teaching/PGCE.
- Lead teacher Experience.
- Experience in Managing/Teaching International British Curriculum / English National Curriculum.
- Experience with thematic curriculum is an asset.
- Line management of teaching/assistant staff from different nationalities and cultures.
- Working in new schools with moderate resources (the school is in its 7th year operating).
- Working in different school cultures and settings.
- 3-7 years of management experience.
Salary Package:
Length of Contract - 3 yrs and can be extended on mutual consent
- TAX FREE salary of US$ 80000 per annum paid in INR
