Mechanical Engineering Technician

Our client works in the field of thermoplastic extrusion. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will use your design and extrusion process knowledge to oversee various project developments.
- Design tooling parts and piping based on quotations;
- Supervise and document trials of new products;
- Input new product specifications for production;
- Manage documentation (work instructions, control sheets, packaging standards and diagrams) in ERP for production;- Maintain and update screw maintenance records and produce associated purchase orders following inspections and measurements of extruder screws and barrels;
- Support the team in addressing quality complaints to identify causes and solutions;
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to operational efficiency (reduction of rejection rates, 5S, etc.).
Requirements:
- DEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing industry;
- Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD;
- Comfortable with MS Office suite;
- French.
